Did Not Attend (DNA) Policy
At Locksbottom Podiatry, missed appointments can have a significant impact on our ability to provide timely care to all patients. To ensure fairness and efficiency, we have implemented the following policy for patients who do not attend their appointments without providing adequate notice:
DNA Protocol
First Missed Appointment
- The missed appointment will be noted in your patient record.
- A fee may occur.
Second Missed Appointment
- You will be invoiced 75% of the appointment fee, as the missed slot could not be allocated to another patient.
Third Missed Appointment
- You will be invoiced for the full appointment fee.
- Any future appointments will require payment in full at the time of booking.
Appointment Reminders
To help you keep track of your appointments, we send email reminders prior to each scheduled appointment. These reminders are sent three days before your appointment. For patients without email access or with specific medical needs, we will endeavour to contact you by phone.
How to Avoid a DNA
If you cannot attend your appointment or no longer require it, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. This allows us to offer your slot to another patient who may need it.
